Road Trip 2: The Return of Awesome Challenges

posted 3 years ago

We’re starting our Road Trip back to NC. Wouldn’t it be cool if we made up our own challenges and had some more fun along the way home?

Let’s crowdsource this Teams. Send your ideas to our tumblr site or just call us in the Chevy Equinox at 313-618-4069.

Here is the start of the list…

  1. Find and eat at a Chick-fil-a in Texas. Trust me this is harder than it looks.
  2. Take a photo with your Chevy with someone with huge sideburns.
  3. Best Lip-dub music video. (if you don’t know what lip-dub is, watch this classic)
  4. Funniest GeoSocial check-in (fake or otherwise).
  5. Tell your favorite moment or challenge on the trip.
  6. We’re thinking about more… add yours

Points are going to be scored by vote only. NO retweets. There will be one and only one winner of each challenge. The team with the most Awesomeness aka wins, uh, wins. Polls will be posted along with the items. This is just for fun and the winning team(s) are the ones that have the most fun. We are just trying to grow this road trip experience.

And hey, If you’re not in the mood for more Chevy SXSW Road Trip challenges, then that’s cool. We understand. Safe travels everyone.

Note: No jumping in photos. We’re talking to you Detroit.

Day 2 Challenge Results: Team NC

posted 3 years ago

Hey Everyone!

We started out on Day 2 energized and ready to rock. There was a new dimension added to the game with the amplified challenge of discovering more clues to reveal our next destinations, in NOLA and for tomorrow in Texas. There are lots of photos and videos to share from Day 2 that will be posted tomorrow. We also got all the team members authorized to email the main Chevy @ SXSW blog, so expect to see all of our accomplishments shown here to also show up on the official scoring site soon-ish. Here is a really quick rundown of what we accomplished on the second day of our road trip, driving from Montgomery, Alabama to New Orleans, Louisiana:

  1. Image challenges: Cowgirl, Odd or Wacky Signs, 3 Welcome Center team photos (MS, NOLA), Team in Truck photo
  2. Physical challenges: Team Pedi and Nail paint, Have a firedrill of team members around the car
  3. Charity challenges: Provide car window washing services
  4. Collection challenges: tacky magnets collected (MS, NOLA), tacky postcards collected (NOLA)
  5. Collection challenges: we had many interactions today, from interviewing our AL waitress about her most memorable customer interactions to getting people to dance the Electric Slide in NOLA to creating “Awesome Awards” and awarding people with mini-celebrations of their unique awesomeness.

We are pumped about big day 3 as we travel onward to Houston, Texas. First stop before leaving NOLA? The home of the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints, The Super Dome - for a team photo! Please show your support for us by commenting and telling us what you “like.” Thank you so much.
